How to make your own lightsaber
The lightsaber is inextricably linked to the fantasy world of the Jedi Knights and their opponents, the Sith. Crafting a sword is one of the most difficult tasks for beginner Jedi. You can try to do it for real.

Instruction
—
Buy a regular flashlight from a store or market, powered by two or three “A” batteries. Use this flashlight as a lightsaber handle, in addition, it will serve as a power source for a future design. The body of the flashlight must be steel, the size depends on the desired size of the lightsaber itself and the size of your hand, choose the color to match the color of the luminous element of the future sword.
—
Order cool neon, also known as flexible neon, online or from a specialized store. This product is used as decorative lighting and is an electroluminescent cord. The cost of flexible neon is on average 300 rubles per 1 meter. Cold neon allows you to achieve a bright and constant glow, evenly distributed along the entire length of the cord at a fairly low power consumption.
—
Do not confuse cold neon with duralight, a chain of LEDs under plastic. Choose cool neon depending on personal preferences: the color of the glow does not affect the operation of the structure, the thickness should be chosen as large as possible, ideally up to 10 mm, the length of the cord depends on the desired size of the lightsaber.
—
Purchase a power supply (inverter). For the cord to glow (ignite the electroluminescent substance), a high-frequency current is required, which is supplied through a power supply unit with an output frequency of up to 2000 Hz and a voltage of 110V. The power supply you need is powered by 1.5V batteries (12V inverters also exist) and is most often used to demonstrate and test the glow of cold neon.
—
Attach the power supply to the cold neon and attach it to the flashlight — lightsaber hilt. If the lightsaber works and the cold neon glows, then your sword is ready. For reliability of a design, carefully fasten all details and insulate connections.
